BWN Scholarship Awards Thousands in Scholarships

The due date for applications is April 17, 2009. Applications my be obtained by:

Scholarships no longer are limited to $1,000. Instead, scholarship awards may total the balance in the scholarship fund (less an administrative expense.) The number and amount of scholarships approved will depend on the number and quality of scholarship applications received.

Also, recent changes in BWN membership categories are expected to help increase the funds available for scholarship awards. A portion of each sponsor’s contribution is allocated automatically to support to the scholarship. For example, $50 of Gold Sponsors' fees are set aside for scholarships.

Your help still is needed…

  • Encourage life long learners to apply for scholarships. Applications are available on the web site and due April 17, 2009.
  • Winners will be notified by April 27, 2009 and invited to attend the Woman of Distinction event on May 20, 2009.
  • Support the scholarship programs via the 50/50 raffles and direct contributions. A donation in honor of friend or relative makes a unique, meaningful and convenient gift — think about it!

Contact us if you would like to make a donation to the scholarship fund.

You may mail a check payable to BWN (indicating on the memo line the donation is for the scholarship fund) to the BWN post office box. Be sure to include your name, company, address and telephone number with your check.
