First Speaker – Bethany Good – “Reframing Your Narrative: The Power of Telling Your Own Story” – Cultural bias – Women's Representation in Media

Second Speaker – Marci Brand – "The Bitch in the Office – Women as Leaders in Business–Fact vs Fiction”

Third Speaker – Lana Bowman – “Step Into Your Power” – Generational Wealth and Knowing your net worth – What will your legacy be?

In celebration of Women's History Month, we have gathered three successful entrepreneurs and asked them to speak about various issues facing women in business today. This will be a lively and interactive session with time for questions and answers.

Bethany Good is a prolific poet, creative writer, author, and storyteller. Her love of the written word began early and has remained a steadfast passion over her life. She is the Founder, CEO, and “Head Wordsmith” of Good Writing Co., which provides writing, editing, digital marketing, brand voice, and other copywriting services. Bethany is also a wife and mother of two elementary-aged children. Often she can be found snuggling with her new Boston terrier puppy, Scout. In her limited free time, she also enjoys gardening, hiking, and telling neighborhood kids to get off her lawn.

Known as the Marketing Diva, Marci is a fierce proponent of providing opportunities for growth and empowerment for women in the business world. Last year, she was nominated for the 2021 Forbes 50 over 50 and has now started a coaching business, Marci Brand Performance Coaching, The business is designed to help women find clarity in their professional and personal chaos so they can confidently sit in the driver’s seat of their lives. A resident of Howard County, Marci was named an Emerging Leader in Maryland by the SBA.
